Make a beautiful gelatin lily that looks like blown glass! We will free-form a butterfly and several filler flowers to complete a lovely bouquet that would look great any cake.

Supplies for GELATIN LILY, BUTTERFLY, & FILLER FLOWERS CLASS:  Please bring the following items with you to class along with your ClassPAIDReceipt:


  • 6”-8” Cake box or similar to take home flowers
  • 6MM crystal Swarovski or similar round beads-yellow
  • 2 boxes Knox gelatin
  • 3-4 Pyrex bowls-custard size-place middle leaf cutter inside to see if it will fit for sizing-(you will need a bowl for each color you use, plus one for water) (I found oval-shaped ones at Wal-Mart that work great-if you can find them)
  • Measuring spoons -1 Tbsp. & 1 tsp.
  • Small bowl w/ lid-or plastic wrap to cover gelatin to take home leftover gelled Knox
  • 1 c. measure-glass
  • Americolor Gel Colors: White, Leaf/Avocado Green/Lemon Yellow/Pink/Sky Blue and Violet
  • Wilton Lily Stamen Set
  • Small kitchen towel
  • Paper towels
  • Wire cutters & needle nose pliers
  • Floral tape-moss green
  • Apron
  • Oasis foam block – (wrap in plastic wrap) to insert stems into after dipping-floral dept.-see note at bottom
  • Tapered angled spatula
  • 2 spoons
  • 26 gauge Craft Wire -gold or silver ) or -they also carry have an assortment of 26 gauge wires
  • Wilton Leaf Cut-Outs Fondant set: -to use as a petal shaper-teacher will bring
  • Teacher will bring - Electric skillet or warming tray with temperature control-to keep gelatin warm as we work
  •  teacher will bring - Extension cord



  • Pearl Airbrush spray color or Super Pearl dust 



  • Get a package of coffee stirrer sized straws, cut in half at a sharp angle and insert into the oasis foam about 1 -1 ½” apart-I go 3 across the short end and fill in the rest. This gives great support for wired petals!
