Welcome to Mangelsen's... Everything That Inspires!

Featured Local Artist Program

 Featured Artist

Mangelsen's is a proud supporter of local art in the Omaha area! Over the years, we have supported both visual and performance art. Mangelsen's are community partners with art organizations such as the Omaha Community Playhouse, Omaha Performing Arts, and the Young Artist Exhibit during the Summer Arts Festival in downtown Omaha.  Since 2005, Mangelsen's has hosted our annual Big Art Event featuring art from local artists and interactive art demonstrations. In 2016, with the help of local artist, Ray Esposito, we launched our monthly featured local artist program. Each month we'll highlight one local artist in our Framing Department, social media and enewsletter.

The featured local artist program is simple:

Mangelsen’s will grant 8’ x 8’ space for the length of one month to the selected artist to display their original work in the Framing Department. The space is designed to be a free service for local artists to display original artwork.
Mangelsen’s will not collect any commission associated with the sale of original art.

Selection Process:

Mangelsen’s reserves the right to view and approve the work before it is hung. We do ask that the artist keeps in mind that Mangelsen’s is a family oriented store and has young patrons. All art submitted must be work done personally by the individual.

If you are interested in showing at Mangelsen’s, please read this artist agreement form first. If you agree, please submit the following information to

 - Images of the pieces you would like to display in a jpeg format.

- Short bio about yourself and your work. If selected, this information will be used in a feature within our email
newsletters to our customers.

Submit via email to Steve Pelish at Please put “Local Art Display” in the header of the email. If selected, our Artist Coordinator  will contact you to schedule a month to be featured.

Mangelsen’s will provide the following:

  • 8’x8’ Wall located in the Framing Department

  • Slat wall hooks for hanging the art

  • Featured article about the artist in the monthly art newsletter and through Social Media.
