    Mangelsen's 2017 Big Art Event

    Join us at this year's Big Art Event, a chance to see submissions from all over the Omaha/Metro area and vote for your favorite. We welcome artists of every age and ability to participate in our annual art exhibition.


    Each artist may submit one (1) piece of original art at our Custom Framing counter. 2-D & 3-D pieces are acceptable.


    Kick-off to voting begins on Friday, August 18th at 6pm during our artist reception. Each individual may vote once for their favorite pieces in each category: Quilts,Youth, Novice & Professional. Voting will continue until Saturday, August 19th at 3pm. Ballots will be counted by Mangelsen’s Team Members. Winners of each category will be announced on Saturday, August 19th around 4:15 in the Framing Department. Winners will also be listed online at and on our Facebook page.


    Art submissions must be received by Wednesday August 16th to be eligible.


    Please make sure art is "ready to hang". We will have Framing and Matting Packages available for purchase.

    Friday, August 18th: Artist Gallery Reception from 6pm- 8pm

    Saturday, August 19th: Demonstrations, Make 'N Take items, and voting from 12pm-4pm
