Then learn to use your scrappy creations together to make a variety of designs. You can go for a holiday look or choose another color scheme altogether—there’s no end to the possibilities for StarQuars. This class is for confident makers who have basic cutting and sewing skills down. We’ll focus on the simple StarQuar technique plus the concepts of color, value, contrast, scale, line and cohesion. It’s perfect for the quilter who wants to combine fabrics more effectively to get fabulous results. Your cutting can be done before class if you like so you can get to the sewing more quickly. All the basic StarQuar patterns and ideas are included, and additional StarQuar patterns will be available for purchase.

Meet Diane:

Diane Harris is a quilt designer, speaker and teacher. After 11 years as an editor for Quiltmaker magazine, she formed Stash Bandit to present energetic trunk shows and engaging classes for quilters. She is passionate about making scrap quilts and creating interesting original designs, and she never met a fabric she didn’t like. Her work is regularly featured by publications in the US and abroad.
