Meet the instructor: Stephanie Koziol
My name is Stephanie. I was born in Connecticut but made the move here at just two years old. I live in Millard with my husband, two daughters – Jemma and Penny, and our four (yes, four) dogs! I work a corporate job from home, but my passion lies in baking. My grandmother taught me how to cook and bake at a young age. It has always been a tradition for me to make family members their birthday cakes so in February 2020 I took the plunge and started my own cottage bakery. 2 years later, I am taking another plunge and starting to teach! I can’t wait to see what we create!
I am a Cottage baker: A cottage baker is a baker that runs their entire business from their home. From the baking to the packaging, all of it is done in home. To do this, Nebraska requires a certification and the passing of a food safety class, both of which I have accomplished. I am allowed to bake items in my home and sell the directly to the customer.
