In this class you will be making your very own polymer clay slab (approximately 3.5in by 4.5in)! Starting with a slab of black clay as a canvas you will be using small pieces of colorful polymer clay and cane slices on it to form a beautiful pattern. You will have hundreds of premade designs to choose from to customize your slab. After you are satisfied with your design we will use cutters to cut shapes out of the slab.
All clay materials and cutters will be provided as well as a few magnets, jump rings, and necklace cords (up to 6).
I will send you home with instructions on how to bake your pieces in your home oven and from there you can turn them into magnets or pieces of jewelry.
*You will need super glue at home if you’re making magnets
14+ preferred, unless accompanied by a guardian because we’re working with blades.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:

Skyler Thomas Koehn is a polymer clay artist and teacher that has been working with the medium since she was a child. She sells her handmade polymer clay goodies at various events in the metro area. Skyler has been teaching polymer clay art classes for 6 years. She finds working with clay very therapeutic and wants to share that joy with other people. In the rare times Skyler isn’t playing with clay, she’s probably watching scary movies or baking!
